In an effort to increase awareness about other rare and chronic disorders, Tour de Light Rail has created a partnership program to help other non-profit organizations that are facing the same issues the Arizona Hemophilia Association is facing. Susan G. Komen 3 Day for the Cure
Every year, thousands of men and women come together to raise money for Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure. Together, throughout 14 cities nationwide, participants walk 60 miles over 3 days to honor their commitment to ending breast cancer. Net proceeds from the 3-Day for the Cure fund innovative global breast cancer research and locate community programs supporting education, screening and treatment. Virtually every major advance in the fight against breast cancer in the last 28 years has been impacted by a Komen for the Cure grant.
Team Pedi-Cure has been participating in the 3-Day for the past eight years, in remembrance of their mother, who lost her battle with cancer in 2002. It is our hope that Team Pedi-Cure’s partnership with TdLR will bring additional money and awareness needed to prevent and eradicate cancer forever. Our dream is that one day, noone will know the pain that losing a loved one too early brings.
