Why

Why a Pub Crawl…

Giving BackAs the economy suffers through a recession and struggles to get back on its feet, the non-profit sector and its fundraising bottom line has seen a dramatic hit. With fundraising typically the number one way many non-profits pay for their operating cost and expenses related to serving its community many have been forced to come up with new and more creative ways to shore up additional funds. To help with our part, 100% of all proceeds from tickets sales will go towards benefiting the Arizona Hemophilia Association.

What is Hemophilia…

Hemophilia is a genetic bleeding disorder that prevents the blood from clotting normally. The main symptom is uncontrolled, often spontaneous bleeding. Internal bleeding into the joints can result in pain, swelling and, if left untreated, can cause permanent damage.

Who is the Arizona Hemophilia Association…

Since our inception in 1967, we have helped the community survive the complicated world of living with a bleeding disorder. We are the only such organization in Arizona. We strive to meet our mission by offering various educational services and programs to community members in all stages of life. We evaluate what needs are unmet and develop programs to meet those needs. For example, we found that there is a need to provide families with a forum for learning, sharing and supporting one another and as a result the monthly support groups were established. During these sessions, which are offered in both English and Spanish, families are provided with a safe environment for discussion regarding treatment, access to care, quality of life, and therapy satisfaction/concerns.
